5. Cookies & Tracking in the Mobile App
The Buzzire mobile app uses device-level storage and SDKs rather than traditional browser cookies.
Device identifiers
- Firebase Installation ID: A unique identifier for your app installation, used for analytics and push notification delivery. Reset if you uninstall and reinstall the app
- Advertising ID (IDFA/GAID): We currently do not access or use your device's advertising identifier. If this changes, we will update this policy and request your consent where required
Local data storage
- AsyncStorage / SecureStorage: Stores authentication tokens, app preferences, and cached data locally. This data never leaves your device except through authenticated API calls
- Image cache: Profile photos and media are temporarily cached for faster loading, automatically managed and cleared periodically
- Chat cache: Recent messages are cached locally for offline access. Cached data is encrypted at rest
Background services
- Push notification service: Firebase Cloud Messaging delivers notifications about new matches, messages, and updates. Control preferences in app or device settings
- Location services: When enabled by you, location is used for proximity-based discovery. It is processed on our servers and is not stored as a cookie. You can revoke location access at any time
6. Third-Party Services & Their Cookies
- Firebase (Google) — authentication, analytics, crash reporting, push notifications, real-time database
- RevenueCat — subscription management, receipt validation, entitlement tracking for Plus/Gold/Platinum plans
- Razorpay — payment processing for Indian users. We never see or store your full card details
- Google Play Store / Apple App Store — in-app purchases, subscription billing, and app distribution
- Expo (React Native) — over-the-air app updates. Minimal data collection limited to update delivery
- Google Fonts — serves the fonts on our website. Google may log font requests including IP address
We regularly review our third-party integrations to ensure they align with our privacy standards. We do not share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
7. How Long Do Cookies Last?
Session cookies
Temporary cookies deleted when you close your browser or app. Used for maintaining login state during a single session and protecting form submissions from CSRF attacks. Session cookies are never written to permanent storage.
Persistent cookies
- Authentication tokens: Valid for 1 hour, automatically refreshed when active. Fully cleared on logout
- Theme preference: Stored indefinitely in localStorage until cleared
- Analytics data: Firebase Analytics retains data for up to 14 months. Crashlytics data is retained for 90 days
- App preferences: Stored until you clear app data or uninstall
- Push notification token: Active until app uninstall or manual token refresh
8. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
On our website
- Browser settings: Most modern browsers allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies through Settings → Privacy → Cookies
- Block all cookies: You can configure your browser to block all cookies, but this may prevent essential website features from working
- Delete specific cookies: Find and delete Buzzire-specific cookies through your browser's cookie management interface
In the Buzzire mobile app
- Notification preferences: Settings → Notifications
- Location services: Device Settings → Apps → Buzzire → Permissions → Location
- Clear app data: Device Settings → Apps → Buzzire → Storage → Clear Data. This will log you out and reset all app preferences
- Analytics opt-out: Email support@buzzire.com with the subject "Analytics Opt-Out" and we will disable analytics collection for your account within 48 hours
Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of our website from functioning correctly. We recommend keeping essential cookies enabled for the best experience.
9. Do Not Track Signals
Some web browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal to websites. There is currently no industry standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. While we currently do not respond to DNT signals specifically, we want to assure you that:

Buzzire is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect cookies or tracking data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, we will take immediate steps to delete that data.
